Spokes surely look nice, but bugger it, just noticed my front rim has started rusting. Keep my bike in a dry garage, it's a 2001, only 9,000 miles.
I guess I have not cleaned the rims enough, I was a little slack.
Spokes are okay, but I intend to change the front to twisted stainless.
Thinking re-chrome the rim, or power coat black to match my bike, or buy a new rim.
Spokes and rims.. sure pretty, but lots of work to keep A1.

I like the classic look of spokes, but prefer the trouble-free benefit of mags. Loose spokes are what caused my last bad crash, so I tend to avoid bikes with them.

Went on group ride yesterday and a buddy thought he had a vibration in the front. Turned out he had 7 broken spokes on the rear. Check your spokes people.
Oh and mags for me.

Crappy thing is i hear a set of rims like this will set me back some big money...especially for the rear wheel!
