Default Pirelli RT 66 Cruiser Tires

Anyone have any experience with these particular tires on their bikes?

I have em.
Front and rear.
I use them on a daily commuter 1200s and also run that bike on the twistys in the weekends. I have had no problems at all.
They feel good and hold well if your pressures are correct. Fine in the wet but if you really want to push it I would go for a set of night dragons.
I chose the route 66s as I ride over a hill with a calcined bauxite surface. It kills tires and these ones last a lot longer than a softer compound.
My rear tire has had about 6000 ks on it and is around about half worn?

I was going to replace the Dunlops for the same tires, but the Perelli tires were at least $150.00 cheaper as a set. To be honest they feel no different and seem to grip just fine for the every day riding I do. I only got 7,000 miles out of the rear Dunlop and considering the cost savings with the Perelli if I get the same mileage out of it I figure I'm ahead of the game.

I've been looking for a tire that's a decent performer but also is a good candidate for painting raised white lettering. The MT66's are on my short list. I also like their tread pattern for it's more old school/retro look. Only thing... The MT66's have really large letters. Not sure what I think about that. Sometimes I really like it. Other times I'm ???

Most times I think they look pretty good on that Sporty. Then sometimes...

What do you think?

I reckon that's pretty cool.
Line a subtle version of a white wall.

Those big white letters look good on that bike.

Came across pics of a Honda with the MT66's and painted letters. The letters look bigger than the those on on the Sportster above. The Honda's tires look bigger with larger sidewalls than what the Sportster has, which probably accounts for the perceived bigger letters. That and maybe view angle/aspect.

Kind of like the look of the MT66's on the Sportster. On this Honda.... ???

You can get Bridgestone S11 Spitfire tires with white letters in Sportster sizes. They even happen to be good tires. And you don't need to paint them.

Now where would be the fun in that?

Besides the lettering on the Spitfires is too tiny.
