It was slow at work so I made a 7x2 inch flat piece of 1/8" steel with 2 holes in it to mount inside my toolbag to keep it pressed up against that little bar that connects at the bottom of the front down tubes. When I got home, I installed it and it turned out real nice.

put a shinko 777 on the rear today. can't wait to break it in good.



i have to say after running the front shinko 777 for a few weeks now i am impressed to say the least. i was not not expecting the tire to be as good as it is, particularly for the price.

Didn't get much done yesterday to my scooter. I soldered in a new in line fuse, turned the bike around, put my battery on charge to figure out its junk (smh). I'd like to use a 4 cell but I need to upgrade my reg I'd say. I'm kickstart only so I don't really need cold cranking amps considering I am them lol.

Put new front engine mounts in (Drag Specialties).
What a bloody job, hopefully will last me years.
Read the FSM and it sounds easy but read Sportsterpedia and the removal of the crankcase bolts/using a G clamp makes it doable.

Pulled the S&S apart 3 times and finally figured out the accel pump adjustment screw is the wrong one. Too long!

Steering Head Bearing Service - Bike was a little loose running my new 21" laced front wheel. Gave me death wobble at 75mph. Took the front end apart and cleaned and repacked bearings.(Turns out supposed to do this at 30k miles anyway and I am at 33k)
After a quick test ride the wobble was gone but steering head bolt was too tight and the bike was not tracking good. Reset the bolt with less tension and she rides like a dream again!
