sacrilege ???
ok so the motorcycle racer in me has to positively secure things that will hurt you if they come apart... so some 5/8 stainless steel castle nuts and a trip to the mill to punch some holes for R clips... add a scoche of safety wire and wala
the added bonus of an R clip s that if you safety the R clip to the swingarm then the axle cant rotate loose either !! dont forget to wire the R clip closed as well...
now to machine up some 7075 washers to spread the load... check that.. found some 6061 spacers that i had made earlier and just used a piece of tube to sleeve them down to 5/8 and left a lip to use a 316 stainless washer to face the nut and peened the sleeve over to capture the washer...
Front AND rear!!

I would say the build deserves the tank. My opinion

alloy front fender mockup
since this fender assembly is headed to the 99 Sport and Im just using it for mockup... here is a quick look at the alloy fender... pop some holes and polish...
Im also thinking that since the fender goes under the bracket a few holes in the bracket might look cool or an oval slot...

Nice broad cam and the ramp must give a nice smooth opening.
