Si!
Sure was fun. Don't know how we survived!
Snorting brown pcp off the pavement in the glow of headlights then racing. Fun! or something..

Yes it was. the salesman rode it from hannum's HD in Lima PA up 352 a mile or so to a parking lot where he showed my Dad how to ride it, and delivered it to him. From there it came home in a truck.
I was only 12 so it was not street legal to me, but as soon as it was in the neighborhood I took off down the street.
All my buddies owned Honda 50's and that little 65cc 2 stroke used to eat them little 4 strokes for lunch
but that didn't last long, within a year my best friend ended up with a Hodaka Dirt Squirt.

Moto Morini 65cc minibke 2 stroke
Half the cylinder was shrouded - I guess air was directed from vanes on the flywheel
Left handgrip turned to shift. It was a four-speed. It was 1968.
Went in halfs with best friend, I think we paid $50.

I'm old enough to remember when the Harley owners hated all things Japanese (never mind the Japanese forks or carbs that they pretended weren't there) and actually had an annual Gold Wing Fling during which they used a giant catapult to fling an old Gold Wing through the air to be crushed when it landed.
Now, look at all of the Harley owners who "cut their baby teeth" on Japanese bikes. I know I did. I've owned a bunch since the early 60's and loved them all. I also love my Sporty. I do have to admit a lusting for the BMW R/ series, particularly the older ones but I've never had the chance to ride one, much less own one.
