Back in 1979 I bought a new 1980 Lowrider and the first thing I did was take the turn signals off and the mirrors off. After I traded it in a year and a half later the new owner came over and asked me if I still had them.....I did and gave them to him. But down here in Florida where you got a bunch of old people (like me) and I have never even came close to taking the signals and mirrors off.….although I think they ruin the look of a motorcycle. You probably are thinking you only kept that Lowrider a year and a half....yes, that is true in fact, this Sportster is the first motorcycle I have ever kept long enough to have to buy new tires for .....so in 63 years of riding....I have owned a ton of cycles and enjoyed every one of them, but have not kept any of them very long.....till this sportster came along and I have had it quite some time (6 years, a record for me)....and it is my last motorcycle (I think) and most likely my favorite for an all around do everything motorcycle, so I can see why so many like them. Before any of you older guys get upset about me referring to the older ones down here, I should also say the last three close calls I have had were by youngins turning in front of me and then not even acknowledging they almost caused me to run into them. Be careful out there, it is fun and it is dangerous.

My kid brother was killed by a pickup truck blinded by early morning sun glare. I am all about visibility. Changed all the turn signals to led with a run/turn/brake module from badlands. Up front a JW Speaker adaptive headlight along with a pair of Denali D-4s hoping to be able to punch thru the glare as much as possible.
I think the modulated headlights and flashing brake modules irritating.

I kept the blinkers because I have to, a,d I use them all the time when turning.

I check my mirrors all the time either, some car nuts like to stick to my tail, I don't like it.

I kept mine, but moved them down to the lower fork tree using the HD relocation kit.

Have you considered adding plasma rods to the rear? You can stick them to the inside of the saddle bags if they’re hard bags.
