Yes , Iron Mike, It's the red "stocker". Hearing people say it's mostly original and "fairly complete" is what I needed to know.

It's basically cosmetics that I'll be working on and I've built and painted custom cars most of my life (and I'm old) so that's not a problem. The bike is good mechanically but I may want to freshen up the top end...no big deal.

Compared to custom cars, working on these old ironheads is like working on a toy, I'm hooked!

Notice grass is mowed and edged ok..but no bothering to use roundup weed killer on concrete joints.
Prolly a heavyset white guy with a bitchy ole lady pointing/talking.
That explains it having 45K miles..whats the rubber looking things betwixt
The handlebars and risers? Possibly a king tank..and the frame under it looks
sanded or something. Possibly only one owner Bike here?
Whats His story about it?

This bike was purchased 3 years ago by an older guy from the original owner. The purchaser got sick and never rode the bike so it's been sitting for a while. He recently passed away and his wife is selling it thru her son. Unfortunately, they did fire it up without cleaning things up first.

That's a good price for a fairly unmolested '83. If it runs well, doesn't make any terminal noises, and has paperwork, I'd go for it. Good generator, dual discs, good frame, lots of earlier Evo body parts fit it, etc. I'm partial to '83 models, myself, especially the XLX...
