Nice package, tell me more about the l.e.d. light bar under the triple clamp. Oh, and welcome to the forum family from a swamp in Michigan.

Hay Paul,
It's a 2k lumin light bar wired to my hi-beams. Being a Californian (NORCAL) I mainly use it in the am when I'm splitting lanes for my commute but it's also great for night time backroads as well.

Default Light bar:

Thanks for that as I am a firm believer in being seen, front and rear. We’re not allowed to lane split here, but have run the shoulders when deemed necessary.

Keep it safe, Paul

Good looking bike! The color of the pegs adds a nice contrast.

Why are you worried about the color of the pipes? They seasoned well and really match up nice with the scheme. Gives it a cool look and says do not touch if hot nor let the old lady ride with shorts on. My ex learned the hard way 25 years ago.

In pictures they look great, but up close they are stained because they where not properly cleaned before their first heat cycle and on top of that, they have some melted rubber from my shoes on them as well.

That caramel tone that they have is easy to achieve with wd40. You heat the pipes up then hose down the areas where you want to darken up, the more you do this the darker you get (an old boss of mine at a machine shop I worked at showed me this). What you see on my pipes is probably 10+ applications over a month period. Obviously stainless color changes on it's own but at some point that stops as the exhaust gases only get so hot, this is just a way to get a more original look which is the main focus of my bike.
