Default Problem with my 1998 1200S

Still have a problem with the race bike. 1998 1200S

It ran great at last BG race.Got it home and it set for a few weeks before I messed with it again. When I got it out for a ride it started like normal but soon as I got going it started cutting out.Plugs look good not black or white but nice light tan. Seems to be popping back through exhaust and has a strange smell.

So far checked jets and they were clean.(going to pull carb and take it apart next) Then swapped out Ignition module with my stock one.Still the same thing.Next I pulled fuel filter and it was trashed.Had to clean and relined gas tank (used POR-15 HD kit) and put in new filter.

Next I am going to pull carb and check it out again.

Anyone have more ideas?
Remember these 1200S have factory single fire and dual plugs

A thorough cleaning of every fuel (and air) passage in the carb is very important, especially when compromised fuel has been introduced...

Not stupidity at all, just one of those things.
Well done for coming back with the cure, it may help someone else in the future.
