Ferrous Head, Maybe Tap the CC Drain Plug with a 1/8” NPT Allen Plug, Drain between Race Runs? A Friend with a 96” Drag Bike does this

I never worried about it in between races. It does (did) eak pretty badly - but not wuite that bad.
The HD system of returning the oil works fine once the engine is running. It's only if the bike is left for longer periods we get the problem.

And normally, it wasn't even a problem for me. I normally drain the oil after every meeting. Methanol has a nasty habit of diluting the oil. I start every race meeting with fresh oil.

But it was the worst pump I've ever had for leaking and I thought it would make a good test case. Srr,s to have cured my problem.

I won't pit a pump back on an engine now without foing this fix.

Anyway, I hate making any more holes in cases than I have to.
