hey all, I got the screw out and was going the cheap route and took the screw to the hardware store. I thought it was an 8x32, an 8x32 nut threaded over the OG carb screw, but when i took the screws home, they would not thread into the carb. Does anyone know what size screw these are?
Thank you,

Thank you,
Metric. I forget the size, but I have a bag of cap screws in different lengths for doing the CV carbs with.

Thank you,
The Sportsterpedia has your info:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...nge_the_screws

They are 4mm threads - For Hex Heads use a 3mm hex wrench
(For Button Head, they need a 2.5mm hex wrench)
Note that the top bracket has a longer screw:

Summary List:
4ea - 4mm x 16mm x .70TPI for Float Bowl
3ea - 4mm x 16mm x .70TPI for Top Diaphragm Cover
1ea - 4mm x 20mm x .70TPI for Top Diaphragm Cover at Throttle Bracket
3ea - 4mm x 10mm x .70TPI for Accelerator Pump
