Ahhh! It's all clear now! I would have been very annoyed with that situation too. Knowing me, I probably would'a had words with the ass clowns!

I been kicked out of better places!

Today I tested the air mesh jacket in 25° (77°) was comfortably cool riding in the sun.

Yeah, I ride when it's in high 90s F. Keeps me cooler than a tee shirt, like riding in the shade. Mine is safety green, probably a little better than black.

This weekend it will be hotter so I'll try it again. I didn't really want black.

Dudes. Cut the arms off old thermal shirt. Soak in sink. Wring out a little. The less you wring out the longer the effect lasts. Put it on. Ride. Your nipples will try to leap out of your chest from the sudden air conditioning on a 100 degree ride. HTH.

Edit: depending on material of shirt used. I get about a hour of comfort riding before rinse and repeat.

2nd edit: Probably best when worn with your summer breathable jacket.

Good info, thanks. I'm going to try it. You think a sweatshirt would work?

And here I was just thinking about filling the pockets with dry ice.

Sweatshirt should be OK. Knit POS goodwill old man shirt can be used also.

Just figure the more absorbent and breathable the material is will control how long and how comfy till dried out. Experiment.

I’ve been using long sleeved t-shirts, Cotton holds moisture well, under my full mesh jacket. Also run with a wine skin bota and hose myself off while running, great cooling. Got me through the 140F days running across Arizonia, New Mexico and into Texas. Also wear one of those hydrating neck wraps, filled with crystals of some kind, soak in a bowl overnight in the fridge is swells up into a round diameter gel like wrap that lowly dries back out nd cools for hours.
