Finished up the fork rebuild on my 2019 Iron. It now has Ricor Intiminators, a cartridge delete kit, Burly Brand preload adjusters and Amsoil Shock Therapy Light #5 oil. I also installed HD drag bars, Diamond Black clutch and throttle cables (the shorter ones that HD lists in the instructions to complement the drag bars).

I take it you were unhappy with the cartridge in the fork?

Yes I was. The 250 mile ride home from the dealership was very comfortable. I felt like I was being beat up entire time. My brother was riding with me on his 2017 CVO SG and he offered to switch bikes, but I declined because I wanted to see how many miles I could ride the Iron before I threw in the towel and 250 was about it. I was so happy to make it home that day. Since buying the bike, I only put 7 more miles on it before tearing it down to improve on the power and handling. I'm hoping the fork upgrades will prove to be money well spent.

today crystal clear
nearly 10 Celsius
no work
wife at work
daughter at university

this morning bought an FAG7200B to replace when i will replace the belt (now i'm 50k Kms)...
then from 10 o'clock till now i made 200 Kms on high mountain through 2 mountain passes...

no traffic, no rush, dark blue sky... the top of the mountains... once in a while a bit of snow... still no salt on the road... i even flogged often the bike... (rare to be overthere on a bike in this season... figure out to find dry roads)

amazing

4° (39°F) here, but I use gloves !

As it was time to change oil and I should recieve scrambler pipe for my XLCH, I began to remove the oil tank. The chrome is rusty and I prefer the genuin look in black.
I spent houres to remove it and I hope to finish tomorow. I hope that I will not need to remove the rear cyclinder for that ! My tank is a "magneto" setting.

7° here...drizzle.
Took both wheels off. Gonna change to Michelin Commander II with new innertubes. The current Dunlops are made in week 26, 2008(!). There's no dry rot but the rubber is getting hard and I feel the bike begin slide a bit in cornering. Cleaned the belt with some mild soap and water. Inspected the brakes, cleaned them. Now cleaning and polishing the slip ons and the heat shields. Fixed a minor oil drip at the oil pump feed hose to the oil filter.
