wow.

just got here by searching for info on the cafe seat. nice bike and story.

but for heavens sake dont rev this motor @ 8000rpm it still has an 883 stock crank inside. 6500 is plenty revs.

nothing wrong with 8000 RPM on occassion after the motor work he's done. Lots of folks turning that RPM on stock XL cranks. XL883 and XL1200 use the same crank. Hammer has hit that on their dyno testing bike probably as many times as there are miles on the bike.

Thanks for the compliments. When I did the motor work, I also sent the heads to Hammer Performance and had new valves and springs put in that support 8000 RPMs with no issues. That being said, I have the limiter set at 7500.

You are right, No way to calculate. I have a ton of money and time into it.
