Yes, tried that, tried battery, battery on charger. Spent a couple of hours on it yesterday... it all worked fine a few weeks ago.., Given up now

Yes, even downloaded fresh

It is communicating with the USB device, and device is communicating with the TC88A.

If you leave it all plugged in and powered up you get one error, leave connected but disconnect just the power to TC88A, another error ...
Tried two different TC88A’s, all the different software ( PC-Link, TC88A-Log, Mega Boot firmware tool ) all give identical Unable to read Firmware ID error.


All connections re made and tested for continuity

Has to be a dead USB interface

Yes, but probing the pins at the back of the Deutsch plug, 1 and 4 or 5... the grounds, show power to the pins, so pointing to BOTH my TC88A’s being dead... unlikely..

Have stripped the 12 pin Deutsch plugs twice now and all crimped and soldered connections good,..

It all points to a power issue... so I tried different PSU’s, lab supply, battery etc

Might have another look this morning
