Default WTD: XL1200S SE Ignition module

Hey guys, I'm looking for either a 32967-98 or 32979-98 Screamin' Eagle ignition module...

Probably a massive long shot, but if anyone has either kicking around then let me know!

The first part number (32967-98 - External Ignition Module) will match up to a 1200S stock wiring...

But 32979-98 is for an 883 model (nosecone) and NOT for the S-Model... It would not match up to the 1200S wiring...

They've been out of stock for at least 10 years, when i was looking to utilize my 4 plug heads. when i worked for harley, I tried to source one to no avail.

as you said, long shot.

I think Dynatek used to make an ignition that supported 4 coils, but its been 10 years, so I can't recall.

Steelworker used the Dynatek and so posted in the 1200 Sport sticky

you can run two dynatek dual out put coiles or the dynatec 4(dc6-4) tower coil. i have been running the 4 tower coil and ultima ignition for years and kicks butt to 7.5k.
what is the rpm limit you are looking for on the stock module?
5400
6800
7500

Thanks guys.

It's a bit of an odd application - I have a complete custom build that I did over the past few years with a Buell XB9R engine, it's converted to carb and uses the standard Buell coil which 0.5 ohm primary. So it's only a single plug head, but I found that the 1200S ignition module was compatible with the coil and it is what I currently have in the bike. Trouble is the rev limiter is so low it is restricting performance somewhat!

Ideally I want to get around 7,500rpm limit, to almost match the stock Buell RPM limit and really get the most from the engine.

I am happy to rewire to use an aftermarket module of some description, but will then also have to swap coils and make new mounts.

So anyway, I don't need the dual plug/4 coil support.

Here's the Sportsterpedia section on stock Ignitions/Coils:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...k:evo:engctl01

Here's the section on aftermarket ignitions (but there are many not listed):
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...k:ref:engctl01

You should be able to get a compatible set of 'ignition module & coil' to implement on your bike with the capability you want.

Is there some mandatory reason to keep the Buell Coil?

Thanks for the links I'll have a look.

Only reason to keep the stock Buell coil is that it's got different mountings and connections to the standard Sportster coil, would just save me remaking brackets etc. Also the buell uses a different timing rotor, and the notch is 105 deg offset to stock. It would mean sourcing a lot of different bits....

the ultima ignition will work.
there are many options, if you want electronic but plain jane curve, the compu-fire with mechanical adv will fill the bill, run that on my 74ch.
many options
i have the above 3 modules but i run plug and play so i keep them in case the ultima fails and it did but then again, i push the envelope on the first one, older now so a little less action.
