Default LoJack

So it’s some sort of alarm, like on my 1200L?

Short answer is Lojack is an anti theft device.

long answer is that it is actually not an anti theft device but instead a tracking device. It is wired hot all the time. once the vehicle is stolen you give the police the code and they call Lojack and have it activated. now it shows up on all Lojack equipped cop cars video screens and they can drive to where the vehicle is.
This system was huge before all vehicles got tracking devices from the factory, yep that is why they do not mind you taking cars on test drives without the salesman anymore. But sales fell off a few years ago when we started getting the touch screen info in all vehicles. One of the biggest sales for Lojack now is the equipment rental business. They put them into rental items and have improved theft recovery by several thousand percent. You just can not drive off with one of those trailered construction compressor anymore.

Yep, we’re the only Country where people steal stuff that doesn’t belong to them!

An American thing? No, America invented a lot of stuff, but theft isn't one of them. To say it only happens here is a load of shyte.

You have wrong end of the stick, what I was saying was that this tracking system was available and used in USA, not over here, as far as I know anyway.

It's not an anything thing any more; this from the Lo/Jack website:
LoJack Stolen Motorcycle Recovery

LoJack is no longer actively selling the LoJack System for Motorcycles.

I think Lojack is a victim of their own success.
