Enjoyed that Ken, and hoping with some warmer weather I can continue putting my engine back together. 6th week of illness but much better!

Hey Paul - Glad you're recovering - Work when you feel up to it.
I was out riding again in February. It was going to be 70° and I wanted to enjoy it.
I made it to Laurel Lake at Pine Grove Furnace State Park. A bit chilly still in the forested mountains, but warm enough with my heavy leather jacket.
But I enjoyed much more of my 130 mile ride. Check out My Motorcycle Chronicles.

Yep - That was on Thursday. I really like taking advantage of the somewhat-warm days we get over the winter. I'm relatively comfortable even when my arms and legs get chilled - but I can't stand to have really cold hands (they don't work the controls well) nor if my spine gets cold and makes me shiver. My heated glove liners solve the hands problem and my heavy leather jacket (with whatever shirt layers are necessary) keeps my back warm enough to really enjoy the ride.
As long as the roadways are fairly clear (no ice, no snow, little gravel), the fun of riding is just the same as summer time. The curves still push you deep in the seat (creating adrenaline) when you really get on the throttle.
Because of my interest in taking pics of my ride, I also enjoy the change of the seasons to provide different countryside pics. But I especially like the changes in the sky where the clouds show totally different formations in the winter months.
Of course, my favorite riding is in the fall - Who doesn't like that? This picture shows riding last September (2022):

That will certainly open up getting rides during the warmest part of the day, so it may extend the months where rides are enjoyable.
I might be getting a few more rides up your way (around Reading) this year as I try to extend the range of my ride reports. Perhaps we can meet somewhere for an ice cream late in the day or when you have a day off.
Thanks for riding along - It's nice to know others are interested.

I was out riding in mid-March - Finally ....
After my encounter in 2021 with the bull in the road, this guy was no problem:
Even though I was riding late in the afternoon, when the temps should be maximum for the day, it was still a bit chilly.
Check out My Motorcycle Chronicles for the rest of the story...

Thanks again Ken, enjoyed that very much. Also, am healing and got cylinders back on my motor after doing the case repairs. There’s hope for me yet!

I finally made my first 1000-mile ride.
The ride was exciting and exhiliarating, but also long and tiring.
Still, I arrived safely at the other end, almost in a daze.
It was unbelievable!
You can read more about the details of my April Fool's Day Trip in My Motorcycle Chronicles.

This was my first ride in April.
I only had one ride in March so I was really looking forward to a nice day in April. It was a great weather day with temps in the mid-to-upper 70's and a clear sky. I chose to ride to Maryland and see some things in the Gunpowder Falls State Park.

I was out for a ride on a very sunny day. Look what I found.
The rest of the story is at My Motorcycle Chronicles.
I'll be posting another ride report after I spend tomorrow on the road with my brother.
