Default Performance Cams

What's up guys?
Can anyone give me any feedback on the Andrews N4 cam?
I can't decide if i want to run these or the Feuling .515.
I've had SE .515 series cams and they are the best I've had on my bike.
Blew out the front exhast cam because the dude that installed them didn't clearance the case. But that's another thread...
Back to the matter at hand. I'm leaning toward the Feuling .515, but just want some feedback on the Andrews N4 .490 cam.
Is there much difference if i go with the .490 as opposed to the .515?
Any response is appreciated.

Do you mean SE .551's?

When i bought them i was told they were Series "15" SE cams.
The person i bought them from said they were .515.
So, I'm going with that.
My bike was a '96 Sportster, 883 converted to 1200.
since i blew it up i installed a factory 1200.

What letters / numbers are on the sides of the cam lobes?

The SE "15" cams are marked 15-1, 15-2, 15-3, 15-4. They are the .497 lift cams, 4th and 5th down in this list:

They've been discontinued.

They were original equipment in a large number of tube frame Buell models.

Per a source at HD, they are literally the Andrews N4's, despite minor differences in their specs. The spec difference comes mainly from a slightly different rocker ratio assumption.

Consider the 505/515 grind to be a lower overlap version of the SE .497/N4. Because they have lower overlap, they fit a wider range of applications. For example, sometimes the N4 causes piston to valve contact when paired with stock 883 heads. That will never happen with the 505/515 grind due to the lower overlap.

Something you should be thinking about is the compression ratio of your motor, and the matching of the cams to it. A stock 1200 motor of the 91-03 generation only has a 9:1 compression ratio. That's pretty soft for the 46-48 degree IVC of the cams you're considering here. Expect a large drop in bottom end power as a result.

Thank you very much, that is the information I was hoping to get.
Decided I'll be going with the Feuling .515 cams.
