I often wonder how much premium makes it to my tank. Bikes don't take a ton of gas and you're going to get some of whatever the person before you used.

I've got 3k miles behind me on my new-to-me stock 03 1200c and I can say with confidence that it runs better on 87 than 91. It's just smoother which I can tell because it's a solid mount and all the vibration goes into the handlebars. (87 is the recommended octane for this era bike).
