Did a little work to the Sporty today.
Biltwell Zed Bars
Biltwell Torker grips
Replaced OEM rear turns with some cast units from Amazon
Removed strut covers
Removed belt guard
Removed front fender
Washed, clay barred, and ceramic coat applied.

I bought an LED headlight, but it won't fit (even with the extended bucket I have. I'm going to replace the big honking connectors with waterproof bullets to see if I can make some room. I get that there's not a lot of room to play with on a bike, but even my Suzuki had damn near every connector for every sub-harness in the headlight. Pain in the ass.

More goodies inbound this coming week...

So, 1275 kit, cams, SE heads, ignition, and other ancillary goodies are ordered. I just spent more on parts than I paid for the bike. Oof.

I was sitting in front of my bike on a curb and noticed the left fork leg was messy with oil and dirt...when I returned home to Portland I removed the left fork leg and disassembled it...upon inspecting the way the seal was installed I did an experiment: I slid the seal up n down the slider and noticed if the seal was upside down, fork oil squeegeed up, and when I reversed the seal the fork oil squeegeed down (which is what you want it to do), even though there are lettering on the seal on one side which should be oriented up, I failed to see this from the onstart...I installed the fork seal correctly and everything was ok...you want the oil to squeegee DOWN.

I've seen double taps before, but 15 months in between?? LOL

Well, crap. I was just informed that the SE heads that I ordered (that were initially on backorder until today) are now on backorder until September 14th. I hope this is just a true backorder and not a case of a part being discontinued.
