Default Need advice (Falters When Turning Corners)

Hello, I am reaching out in need of help. I have a 2003 883 with 10,000 miles. When I turn corners the bike seems to falter. I thought maybe I was pulling on the clutch handle .But it did it without my hand even on the handle. I can’t quite tell if It is a issue Of clutch slippage. Or maybe an electrical short, it only does it around corners. The bike runs perfectly when driving straight. I am also wondering if maybe it is a float iasue . And maybe the gas and flopping dry in the carb . I am looking for leads on where to start to diagnose. Ty Vwry much ken

Is the Clutch cable adjusted correctly? Maybe the cables are getting caught somewhere? Had a 15 Street 750. And had to adjust the Clutch cable almost weekly. Stopped happening after I took the gas tank off. To replace the Ignition lock.

Short cornering or long sweeping turns?
In other words, if float level is low, is it turning long enough to affect it?

Clutch slippage is not "faltering", as the engine revs on throttle application.

Does it behave lean or is the motor briefly cutting out?

Before focusing extensively on carb, consider an electrical issue:
1. Check both ends of both battery cables.
2. Check ignition related wiring
2a. To coil
2b. From coil to ignition module
3. Do you have keys on your key ring?
3a. If so, does wiggling ignition key affect engine operation?

I think I would start by bypassing the Bank Angle Sensor - It's located on the rearward side of the battery box...

Have you been working in that area? Is the BAS crooked or out of place?

Actually I did put a new battery in the unit . I had never riden it before the new battery. I did have that cover off and a sensor did come off it’s attachment tab . Can you post a pic of what that looks like? . It seems to happen on sharper turns one on cutting a corner pretty good. And it doesn’t rev up like a slip . It really feels like the motor cuts out

As I educate Myself on this bank sensor. It seems that once it’s triggered it just shuts the spark down. Do you think it is possibly triggering and then the actuator in the sensor rolls back to the run position

From post one, here are wire colors to the BAS:

the BAS has three wires and receives power from the gray wire (from the ignition fuse) which also powers the “engine stop/run switch”. If removing the sensor, that 12 VDC wire will need to be capped. Connecting the light green/gray wire (from the module) to ground, via the black wire, will provide run mode.

Might be the wiring connection is intermittent, rather than senor activating.
Easy to check connections
Easy to bypass

I do not trust the sensor. I laid down an almost new 2003 XLH883 on a fire road...completely laid down...and it was still running until I flipped stop/run to stop...before the carb flooded.
