If your riding long island try Mill road from Edwards ave just north of the LIE then to north country road to port Jeff then cutting through head of harbor from port Jeff area on harbor road to moriches road to river road back to 25a is a nice road or you can turn right on landing ave and stay on it until you have to make a right and that road turns into sunken meadow road and end up in kings park area. That was my usual route when I ride out east long island. Other than that I usually get off this island and head upstate to hawks nest area or pa.

Still need to get to Dinosaur bbq mick. The one in Troy NY is nice. It's on the water. It's probably one of the only good things in that town. That and there is a bakery that makes really good rum cakes there as well.

Maybe I’ll stop on my way home from the allegheny.

Took the sporty out Saturday morning for a good ride before archery season starts. It’s so much more fun to ride with the temps in the 50’s than the 90-100’s. The sporty seems to run so much stronger with the colder heavy autumn air. Nothing beats the sound of a sportster cutting thru a sleepy morning on an empty country road in southern N.H..
Todays heavy morning rain has put a damper on the start of the hunting season.

Mill is one of my favorites. I went down on mill in 2010 on my first sporty. I'm 25k miles and 11 years wiser on a bike now. All rode on long Island so I've hit all those routes before. One I always wanted to do was the big loop. Montauk, the whole south shore via main street into the rockaways, belt parkway, BQE, 25A all the way out to Claudio's. Its a few fillups with the 3 gal tank but just want to say I did it.

We had a gorgeous cool morning here too... have to agree that nothing really beats the sound and feeling of being out riding on a brisk morning.

Hey Trace,
Cool spring morning for you down under and cool autumn morning for us up here on the top of the planet.
Sporty’s sound good no matter part of the planet you’re stuck to.
Take care mate.
