Post Have the Americans gone METRIC yet?

133 kph sounds more believable!

I once saw an indicated 126 Miles per Hour on my 1981 Yamaha SECA 750.
That thing ran as smooth as a turbine; sounded like my wife's Hoover
vacuum cleaner.. I traded it for an ocean-going kayak, and went to Alaska in 1987.
I wish that Yammy was still in my garage....

A 500 version of the Meteor would be more applicable to the USA market. Wonder if they'll come up with something like that. I have an FT500 Ascot and it'll cruise effortlessly at 70 with about an easy 15 more on tap. It's been enough for the short interstate hops I occasionally use to get between two spots.

I did a test ride of the 650 at Barber two years ago. Nice bike and one of the demo units had a S&S exhaust. Sounded pretty good. I'll likely ride one again this year.
