Max out in the finals, only 4 bikes, then only 3 showed up at the lanes for eliminations. Both bikes broke out, but max was worse. Struggled with the front wheel coming up, we weren’t very consistent at all. dialed a 7.49 and the bike went 1.68 60’ and 7.27 Ran 40s and 50s all day.

Looking to pull some spring on the clutch and see what the bike does. We are slowly working towards consistent 1.60s. I think the bike will run 6.90-7.0 once we get the aim figured out and have some good air. Gotta get more consistent this off-season.

We are also gonna pull away from the 1/8 mile track and run 1/4 mile where the street bike count is 15-20 5 races a year. Giving up on the current tracks program that isn’t bringing in bikes.

Consistency…need some of that as well. Learning the top end game but can’t cut a light or 60’ like it should. Need more seat time.
15 bikes in the field, had two hits to figure it out, bogged then spun so set the tire in between which was decent.
Felt like I was having a real good pass against an 11.35 on my 11.45, never saw him, usually the metrics come late but he never did..didn’t chop enough this time. Out in the first round. Happy with how the bike is running tho. Points season is done but might do some local bracket racing to figure shit out.

Some pics from last weekend. Racing has been pretty dead last year and this year in our area. Even the metric grudge/heads up has been way down. Hopefully things turn around soon.

From watching the vids in slow mow we need to pull some spring pressure. Then give it rpm if it stubbles. Otherwise, pretty happy for a rookie dad tuner and young pilot.

Sounds a little tight, nice job riding it out. Quiet season for us too. Hoping to get to the
track more next season.

Alrighty Gentlemen let's talk about the $2,400 four year lesson that I have learned with a 700 pound Sportster package. I've had this set up where I've had about 30 degrees of timing available from 3400 RPM all the way to redline at part throttle. What I needed was about 18 degrees of timing so my current timing curve under 5700 RPM is very lazy and at the 4k that I'm leaving at, we now have between 16 and 18 degrees of timing. The bike has 516 lb of spring in it and we have approximately 60 grams of weight on it and we're 60 footing in the 1.50 to 1.55 range. I highly recommend that if you are trying to calm it down on the hit, pull some timing.....
