Hi all

I'm back to getting the Ironhead project underway after just finishing the latest suzuki bandit build project (let me know if you want to see before and after pictures)

So sorry haven't been on here for a while

Rite all down to it

I'm going to start stripping to allow access to the loom as I want to get it off renew the hole loom get her starting again and go from there

Will I need to use circut breakers or can I put a more modern fuse box in place?

After spending abit of money on getting her running again yet again she's now like she was before Banging missing and firing on 1 cylinder I'm looking into the dyna system or similar system but for now still using points and condenser

Hope to hear from you soon Kris

I would pick breaker over fuse because of reset capabiities on the road after finding the short.

My local auto parts store sells em on the cheap on one of those swivel display for electrical items.

Solder and flux would be my friend.
Would not rely on crimp only.
Buy some heat shrink tubing.
16 guage and 14 gauge fine thread braided electrical wire. Turn signals, ign, And stuff.

Good luck

I do need a rewire for switches so you have saved me some time on that hunt nice one

Some slight progress started stripping and thought let's have a play with ignition and see if we can just get it to fire after an hour yet again messing about got her going again took the plugs out all sooted up so will have a play with mixture and see if we get anywhere on that, ALWAYS LOVE wrestling getting the carb off so much

Yeah. Yours looks like my 1980 with stock wiring setup. Rain made me decide to rewire the bike when the electric start motor kicked in on the freeway when wiring got wet.

Edit: Europe auto parts don't have no breakers? I know rock auto online even supplies them.

Maybe a EU auto parts online store instead of a brick building?
