I think the guy might be dyslexic.

Looks to be right side shift engine. He might have meant 67 ? With some mods ? (Like the entire front end)

Nope it's a 76, RS brake lever and see the cable to the rear brake.

Your probably right. My eyesight no longer allows me to see those details.

Why O why, if you were trying to sell something like this would you not know a bit more about it ?
10 minutes with Google would tell you so much.

Is he a scammer ? A liar ? or just plain bog stupid ?

I'm thinking about sending him an email explaining it's NOT the rare first year electric Sportster. Just a run of the mill 76 worth only $12 that I will buy from him if he pays the shipping.

The shifter swaps were often done at the dealer back then, until they went to new cases for left side shift. Though this appears correct, they just have everything crossed for a few years.

Not sure where they got the first electric start deal. SMFH!!

He probably got it the same place you got the fantasy about dealers swapping shifters side to side " back in the day".

Yeah that Idea sounds hinky. It's no simple task to swap sides, but more so because the dealer would be exposed to a huge liability.

DOT only applies to a manufacturer. Look it up in the history books. Like dealers don't and/or didn't bypass EPA either. Y'all got a lot to learn.

If any of y'all could use the internet....would have saved you the embarrassment...

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=right+shif...eos&iax=videos

Like stated it was a few years before they changed cases for the shifter swap so easy change.
