Default Transformer XR1200

We have a few gum trees for the magpies to choose from for their nest out the front of the house. They seem to keep changing trees every year. I think the only other birds nesting in them at the moment is a crow haha, and maybe some lorikeets in a hollow.

For the last few nights the babies have been roosting in a spikey bougainvillea at the base of one of the gums trees. That can’t be comfortable.

These things are sent to test us.

So this just happened on the ride to work.

That’s the cover for the air box. It’s supposed to be attached to the air box. But the plastic push in retainers that hold the front of it to the air box have fallen out and the screw posts at the back have snapped off. Probably because when the plastic retainers fell out the wind has caught it and bent it back. Lucky for me it’s not stopping me from riding it. I’ll have to wait until I get home next week before I attempt to repair it. So annoyed

The snapped mounting posts still attached with screws to the air box.

The same posts but on the cover.

How do I fix that? A new one is crazy expensive. I know I won’t be using plastic retainers at the front this time.

If you’re in Australia now is a good time to grab a bargain on winter riding gear. I scored this one from bikebiz for half the price they usually sell for with free postage. It’s a nice jacket, I’ve worn it a few times this week hoping I could test it out in some rain but you know how it is, it only rains when you’re not prepared

Here’s the link

https://www.bikebiz.com.au/dririder-...SABEgIeGfD_BwE

The only thing I can’t work out is why it has so many clips on the cuff, who has wrists that small?

Good looking coat, practical. Strange to see cuffs with snap adjustments in this day and age. They were always a pain, too tight or too loose. Velcro is so much more flexible.

Good point.
The only Velcro on it is on the neck strap and maybe the waist belt, but I’m not 100% sure about that. I took the belt off and left it in the cupboard at home.
