Well, when my other commitments passed, my back has left me hopeless for riding. Maybe next year.

Thanks. Been a tough couple weeks. Think I had three separate issues with my back. Only one remains.....sciatica. Dealing with it for years. Comes and goes for no apparent reason. Learned the early signs and address with ice and motrin usually knocks it out. Sometimes just wake up or during the day with disabling pain. Driving or riding a long distance (an hour) sometimes brings it on. I drive almost an hour each way to work these days.
Maybe I should retire.........

Time for an steriod injection mate. I’m getting one next thursday. Then I’m ridding up to the northern kingdom(vt./nh./canada border) for beers.
You could find a osteopathic doctor and give that a try. They work for some people.
I love pain, it feels so good when it stops.

Sorry to hear about your pain. I also get the sciatica. Mine comes in the changes of the weather, fall & spring. I also try not to sit on my wallet. Speedy recovery my friend.

Hope you feel better soon. Sciatica sucks.
I have had it since I was 18. It goes from pain to knumbness down my leg to now sometimes i lose feeling in my leg and if I lean to the side it is very hard to hold myself up. Feels like my leg just wants to collapse. Chiropractors usually help but it's only a temporary fix. Sometimes it can last a week or maybe more and i will be doing strenuous activities and sometimes I will just lean over to pick something up and it aggrivates it again.

What he said. Sometime just moving the wrong will flare mine. He'll I've just been standing at the computer and my back pain will flare. I think once your back starts to give you trouble you are never completely well again. Always there but you learn to live with it. Get well soon friend.

Well Greg, “I feel your pain”, and have been trying to deal with it for over 40 years since my ,(stupid), accident. Every day now can be exciting but not in a good way. If this ride is off then there will be another, after all you’re the best riding partner I’ve ever had, no quitting now. Heal my friend as it gives me time for bike repairs.

Oh, and Ohio brace yourselves the “Michigan Posse” will be back!
