HDs were a rare sight in Britain also. There'd be the odd 45 but sportys & big twins were a bit spendy. Most rode British or Jap bikes with the occasional BMW or exotic Italian. Used to be a regular Easyriders reader from 79 - 84, rode a Triumph Bonnie & dreamed of a sporty

1970 was the first year of the xlch without the tin cover. It has. A humped cover to clear the double bearing e-start style dry clutch drum
