Default Starter bolts- to locktight or not to locktight that is the question

OK, halfway through my installation of my new All Balls starter and have some angst about the starter bolts that are inside my primary. The manual says nothing about using locktight, the bolts don't appear to have been originally treated, but it makes me nervous due to how close the one bolt is to the starter gear.

I have torqued to specs., but the snakes in my head are saying I should have used locktight. I don't usually get overly paranoid, but I am an optimist with experience (i.e. pessimist - family motto is: If it were not for bad luck we would have no luck at all). Thoughts????

Blue Locktite is not going to be a problem - Use it if it makes you feel better... Be sure the bolts & holes are clean...

I use Blue Locktite on any bolt that goes on my bike. I lost my shifter linkage rolling down the interstate once. That was the only lesson I needed.

When in doubt, use blue locktite.

The Harley guide to lock-tite .
If it vibrates and in doubt use blue,
if it still comes loose use red,
if red doesn't hold use green,
if green fails just weld it.....
