Dan,

Just want to add myself to those that are thankful for this video. Clear, complete, and easy to follow. Excellent! Thank you!

Now on to tackle replacing the covers in my 48.

I liked it -- I'm planning on converting my Nightster to a 4.5-gallon tank and this is most helpful.

Well done!

most ppl that take the tank off will die? Im confused

thanks for the vids!
Kinda reminds me of the first time I swapped tanks on mine. Total disaster... Before I started the removal process, I had loosened the gas cap to check how much fuel was in it and for some reason, never fully tightened the cap back on. So after I un-did all the bolts and flipped the tank over into my lap, I had fuel gushing out into my lap. I was like, WTF!!!, not remembering the cap was loose and thinking there must be some other reason fuel was gushing out, like a breather hole in the cap or something. Anyway, while still spilling fuel everywhere I grabbed an available bucket and balanced the tank over the bucket while removing the fuel pump screws. And just let the fuel drain into the bucket while installing the new tank. Installed the new tank and only when taking off the fuel cap from the old tank to put on the new one, did I realize it wasnt even tight. Anyway, I was totally soaked in fuel during the whole installation process and I didn't die..

Great vid!
Nice bike you have there, didn't know that color and graphics existed in 2007.
Hey someone mentioned a vid of rear tire removal? I didn't see that if true.
I am about to embark on a tire change and looking for methods of a hollow axle alignment, don't know if the 07 has this or not.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Mine's a one of a kind that way. See my (old) thread on the changes here.

I'm sure one exists but I'm not a familiar with any videos of rear tire changing. My 2007s have solid axles, so I have limited experience with the hollow axles (although my 2012 XR does have them). Perhaps someone else can point you in the right direction.
