Just to double check I took a few additional measurements... and the caliper mount needs to be cut 1/4" (6.35 mm). No surprises there as the spacer on that side was indeed reduced by 1/4" but I just wanted to double check.

Modifying the caliper...





Done! New seals for the brake line, bolts where left alone as they do not interfere with the rotor. Plus you can't see them anyway... (I might get new ones and modify them anyway, just so that I know those were adjusted to size )



Not enough time for a test ride...family is calling for attention.

Done! Took her out to fill her with gas (since I switched the tanks when the gas was almost gone...). Rides great!

Can't believe that I am finally done with all mods on this bike...

Just finished putting 137 miles on the bike testing everything. Hard braking, small pot holes or imperfections in the road, swerving, etc... stopped a few times to make sure nothing was rubbing or anything was out of the norm... nope... all is perfect.

Everything felt great!!

The combination of a wider rear tire with the different tire brand all around, just feels great!!

Only thing I forgot to mention... I shaved an additional 1 mm from the head of each bolt that go on the right side (the side with no caliper). These are the bolts that hold that thin hub cover... Did it just to get that additional clearance from the fork...just to feel better...

You may find that the belt rubs on the tire when pushing backwards for more than a few meters. Mine rubs slightly but rights itself when pushed forward.

How did you approach the licence plate mount? I ended up going with a lay back frame mounted on the top of the guard. The plastic hardware for the Australian version wouldn't fit with the 180 and my side mount also had issues but I wanted to ditch it anyway.

You'll be getting the itch to go with a set of triples off the FatBob as well and go twin disc setup?

I ended up with aftermarket triples in wide glide with a +3 deg rake (Hawg Halter brand), fork legs, and guard off a FatBob (2012 had the thinner tubes) with a pair of 6 pot PM calipers and rear disc from a 2014? Breakout.
