Yes,
Issue is, from what I have read, in order to read data off the AtMega you need more than a single data line to the chip

Not read up more yet

The single data line is ok for read/write to the basic EEPROM, but that is all. But that theory conflicts with the fact that Firmware can be updated... will not experiment more until I have the second unit in my hands

Well got some where ..and no where..as I cannot see a use as yet for what I have been doing .

Have been intercepting the data stream between the module and the USB interface this morning

Interesting that there is no data on pin 12, The J1850 DataBus line
I was expecting to see that become live with data when using PC -Log live data view, but it seems that that data is on the new white wire on
Pin2 too
