Default Cracked exhaust bracket short shots

Has anyone had trouble with the exhaust mounting bracket cracking with short shot exhaust. Mine is a 2016 model with about 1700 miles. I tore the bike down to paint the tins and wanted to remove the rear foot pegs. When I pulled the exhaust off I found this.

It seems heavy duty enough. I sent a email to V&H to see what they had to offer. I can weld it up but I am afraid it will crack in another place.

I heard V&H had good customer service. Sent them a few pictures in a email and they are sending me a new bracket. It is hard to beat that since it is two years old!

That's good to hear that V&H is taking care of it. I've never had the Short Shots, but I've had multiple different exhaust brackets break. It happens. I know D&D hooked me up the couple times I needed them too.
