Age is a problem with all groups involved in Vintage Motorcycles. I am the Minnesota chapter Airmarshal of the Airhead Beemers Club. Our club has many discussion on how to attract younger members. We have even been promoting cafe' racer type bikes. We need someone to purchase our bikes from our widows when we kick the bucket.

We in ABATE of Washington are grappling with this, trying to grow our membership as well. The sport bikes don't seem to care about what we see coming... being legislated off the highways.

I'm 73. I knew I was old when people stopped calling me a mean old SOB and just started referring to me as "colorful".

I'm going to hit 63 next month. I've had dozens of bikes, Hondas, Yamahas, H-D, Victory and Indian. In the end the Sporty remains my favorite overall bike. I just picked up my 2004 Roadster and plan on keeping it a long time. I have been lucky and been married 44 years to the same wonderful woman and have three daughters and seven grandkids. Life is good.
