Default Slip on alternative

For those of you running drag pipes and wanting to subdue the bark a little, at this point in time there's an easy fix in the way of inexpensive stainless steel slip ons, $33/can. These little beauties end up making your drag pipes sound like V&H Grenades. Granted you'll probably have to get the right reducers to fit your drags (available at many auto parts stores) but they're worth looking into. I ran them on my XL1200C with 2" drags and their sound was wonderful and no perceivable jetting changes were warranted (IMO, YMMV).

I have only one word to sum up my opinion...YUK!
Sorry, no offense, but why in God's name would you put that on the end of a drag pipe? Something temporary because you have to?
I see you're a flat track racer so...

I think it'd look good on a 'cafe' racer style bike, but they would need to point up at a 15-30 degree angle.

Because putting just drag pipes on a street bike is a great way to hinder the powerband... these not only help reduce noise but also aid in dissipating harmonic reversion and correct the failings of drag pipes. Why would you want to run drag pipes 'as is'?

Nice. Another option to modify a motorcycle exhaust without breaking the bank. Any video? I'm curious about the sound.
