This is another thing I like about my "small" Harley 883 motor with low compression. It's like an anvil and tractor motor combined. It's not the fastest but it will probably run the longest of all the current Harley motors. The word, "bulletproof", best describes it. I hope Harley doesn't ever replace it because they would be "fixing something that isn't broken". My motor even has a carburetor which makes me like it even more.

The manual for my 2011 and the one for 2017 both call for 91 in all SPortsters, 883 or 1200.

I use only Chevron premium......if not available then any premium top tier gasoline.....runs as smooth if not smoother than it should.
