I've got to say that sleeping in your own bed/space/pillow instead of a motel room, having a greater selection of clothes and riding gear with you, not having to eat out, not having to haul all your gear everywhere, and being able to drive occasionally instead of having to take the bike is huge.
I like that, Nexus Riding!

We do that every few years in Eureka Springs and in the area you linked...always in the past using a motel.

The floor has built-in tie downs. In addition for the 2 wheelers I have a portable wheel chock. Then 4 ratchet straps.

Yes, the Tri Glide barely fits.

Freedom Blast 17BLSE. Smallest one we could find that would fit the trike.

That looks like a great option you have there and some good advertising.

She did mention she wouldn't mind riding on a trike.
We're liking it so far. We'll know much better in a month!

Yep, from here to there, we traveled it many a time on a bike and a trike. I would not trade the memories. But you can only do that long, flat, straight 1500+ miles, one way, so many times before you long to spend your time riding in more scenic, more twisty locales.

Yeah it's scary $ when you add it up. Then when you add up the time that could be spent riding...that was just crazy!

Most of the campgrounds, nowadays, that are Motorcycle friendly, have more spaces for enclosed trailers than they do for tents. I used to make fun of trailer Queens but since I turned 55, I wish I would've saved for something like you got.

Yep, getting older and that there trailer of yours looks like a really good idea.
I got an all day and most of the night trip coming up and my back hurts already.

Gone for over a month? Trailer looks inviting.

Yep, times have changed for sure.

And getting older really can change ones perspective!

Thanks. Cool!

Getting excited, we're leaving out in a bit more than week. Will be starting the Ride Report in about a week.

Kevin

P.S. This is the little trip this year. Later in the summer we'll have a Ride Report of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland. Never been there and I have a feeling it's gonna be a great trip!

If you can, ride the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton NS! You won't be disappointed. Ride it BOTH directions! Another worthwhile trip is the Meat Cove road. If you stop in Sydney, Governors is a great lunch/dinner stop.

https://governorseatery.com/

In New Brunswick, a visit to the Hopewell Rocks will amaze you!

https://www.thehopewellrocks.ca/index.php/en/home

Tons of great routes on PEI!

Sadly, I have not done Newfoundland. (yet) But it's advised to make advanced reservations for the ferry.

Have a blast!
