Default 99 sportster sport no spark after base gasket replacement ..

I am stumped here. Redid my top end my self. Got the bike all back together an now I’m getting no spark. I replaced my coil pack. I have power going to the coil pack it wasn’t getting spark. Slapped the new one on. Still no spark. I am getting gas as I can smell it after a couple try’s of starting.

Bike is a 99 sporty sport with the dual head plugs. 36k miles.

Motor is all stock just replace my base gaskets.

I’m an new to Harley’s but pretty mechanic savy.

Anyone body in Oc wanna help a fellow rider out !!!
I just wanna ride bike has been sitting an ready to ride for over two weeks ! I don’t know what it could be an I don’t wanna keep throw money at it.

Any tips or info is appreciated !

If it worked ok before, you must have disturbed something.
Wiring under tank? Kill switch? If you have a meter, check it from fuses onwards.
While your waiting, have a look on the ignition forum section, maybe someone has had similar problems.
Not much help i know but someone will be along shortly, hang in there mate!

My first guess would be the kill switch also. Check to make sure you have a good ground to the engine. Timing?

Read over the Sportsterpedia section on ignitons, coils & testing:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...k:evo:engctl01

Be sure to review the testing of the coil & the testing of the ICM...

And double check the BAS:

Everything worked fine before. I don’t really no where to start. All fuses are good. I have power to the coil pack at the three wire for the plug of coil. New plugs in it.

I took my cam cover off when I tore it down as I had everything powder coated. Could my timing be off since I took the cover off ?

I get power when I turn my switch on lights taxi everything turns on ..

This is my first bike an first gasket replacement ..

That’s the one plug that goes under the bike right ? If so yes I made sure it’s plugged in.
