Transmission oil leaking from clutch cable on Xl 1200 sportster sport 1999
Hi need some advice I fitted 10inch ape hanger handle bars and put longer length clutch cable on but my problem is it leaking oil not at the nut what tightens to the clutch housing but from the the braded cable goes into the nut fitment.
1st thought I had was to much oil but I'm sure Its one quart of transmission oil I have checked the level with the bike upright and the level seems right to the manual???
2nd is the clutch cable had it if oil is leaking from the nut attachment.
Some help please maybe some who's had the same problem as this

If it's not leaking at the oring that holds the cable into the primary, then you're going to be needing a new cable. the ferrul leaks a lot of times and there isn't any way i've found to recrimp them and prevent the leak.

Funny that my last resort today was to get mole grips and crimp it all round see if it sealed but I manage to order a new cable today I just didn't thing the oil go that high for it to leak down the cable thanks for your advise
