I got a few leading up to this one.
The outer shape is as close as I can get to a sportster hamcan and the center circle is based on the points cover. Blue text and orange represents the forum colours.
Needs a little tweaking, Can be adjusted as needed.....

OK, I throw mine into the mix. The black ring around the outside would be a tire (tyre) and the letter spacing would be a little better.

Thanks for the compliments everyone... And Sorry Bert, for not following the procedure you laid out in your original post. I had read it a few days ago and didn't go back to see how to submit the images. I would also like to say that although it would be nice to win the contest, I would rather see the forum come up with a neat looking patch that everyone could be proud of. So, if anyone wants to use any part of my design please feel free to do so.
Flybum, Thank you. I think your images have a great deal of potential as well. I like the way you used the complete forum logo. Wish my editor would allow me to do more with images..
Here's another variation of my design with a bit more color.

Loony, Brad, Very nice...
This should get good. Can't wait to see what others come up with. "Tweak, tweak, tweak..."
Have a great day, Jeff...

Here is mine...a little off-shot of FullCyc's which I like a lot:
I would (if I had one of those fancy programs) arch the top and bottom lettering. But I think this would look cool for a t-shirt. I think the cam cover is the XL distinct feature so I cut the exhaust a little shorter to center up the motor in the image
EDIT: Oh....I guess I should have read the 1st post too! Although I am with Fullcyc...not about the money, just thought it would be cool to design something. Although I guess mine was already out there at 9:15am EST on 6/30/13....so if I win (and could care less) I'll split it with Fullcyc

Why incorporate the 2004 ??? People will think it's a rubbermount forum.

Because the forum was "established" in 2004. Once on the forum it is readily apparent it incorporates all models of XL. I still don't like that "Live-Share-Ride" thing....the rest of it looks great.

Kudo's to all you talented people.
It does makes sense to use the design of the the original patch in the new design.
Thanks Bert, for not only getting this started, but for also including the forum membership in the design of the patch.
