Aaron, I'd love to know more about the XBRR... Like everything. I'd love to come see it if possible, to pick your brain about it all I could. I know you started this thread over 2 years ago, but, can RR parts still be sourced to this day from EBR???

Yes, you can get XBRR parts from EBR. Bring your wallet! The stuff is not cheap. Why, are you thinking of buying one?

Are you thinking of selling one? Sorta, I'm interested in building a the engine more so than a whole bike I think.

I've been thinking about it, but haven't come to any conclusion. I have too !#$%^ many motorcycles and no immediate plans for this thing so I probably should divest myself of it. I'm just hanging on to it because it's so freakin' rare and it's possible I'll want to do something with it someday. That motor would make one mean A-PG 1350 motor. Might even be legal in M-PG.

not even sure what M-PG is?? I was thinking a slight reduced bore size, not to fond of the Nickelsel(sp?) bores anyways, and it would make a great CMRA bike. Was thining of keeping a larger bore, and swapping in a 9R crank for a shorter stroke. Getting down to say 1250, maybe Fueling 4V heads... IDK.

IMO the feuling 4v heads are garbage compared to the XBRR heads. More novelty than performance.

I have a trick question for you. Since you've been all through the RR engine, and since you own/work for a machine shop, and since a RR engine stroke is near a 9 in length. Would it be possible for your shop/you to machine the wheels on the crank of a 9 motor lighter near the RR in size and weight?? I'm contemplation ordering a big bore kit for the 9, lightening the rotating mass, attempting to shoe horn a 6 speed trannie in it, and building a short stroke big bore hot rod. Something in the 11?? cc range...

At the moment we're not deep into the whole custom crank work business, we do some things but not that particular service. Although I'll certainly leave that door open. We have two CNC machines and it's not rocket science to lighten and balance a crank.

Right now though, to be honest, we have a tiger by the tail, both HAMMER Dan and I are running our asses off trying to keep up with the growth of the company, and we're entering our busiest time of the year, so it's not something we're going to take on right away. Maybe we can look into entering that business later in the year.

However, there are certainly crank shops that can do that sort of thing. In fact Jeremy of Reaction Racing recently had a crank shop do this to his XL crank:

It's pork-chopped too, although it's hard to see from this angle.

I see you didn't address the 9" stroke. I guess you decided to leave that one alone. I know some Pratt & Whitney's with a 6" stroke, but you'd have to go to a ship yard to get a 9" stroke crank made.
