Default Plunger Seat on a 72'

Looking for advice. I'd like to install a plunger seat on my 72 xlch. I've read through all the threads on this but am no expert in the machining or frame needs associated.

I'll attach some photos for those familiar, maybe you can't point out if things won't/will work etc... I know there are a few experts on the subject here. Appreciate anything you guys can help with.

Here's the bike, my first Ironhead, put a few hundred miles on the clock during this mild March.

Tubes are 10" deep, cleaned a decent amount of crap out with a magnet. Bored out at the top at 1". Let me know if anything else might help.

Thanks again

Had that style when I drove mine home from the dealer, then went to the King/Queen and then to this. From the FX model, fit and comfort improved.

Thanks for the info. I'm fairly certain I've got the right frame set up, need to confirm spring O.D. with whomever provides the kit, Thanks. Stay safe and healthy out there.

the springs in his kit measure 3/4'' o.d. i had the right tubes but had some casting flash or something in one of them.i needed to run a 13/16'' drill bit down through that one.

Cleaned quite a bit of crap out of mine. Walls seem OK. I've got a few tube brushes on the way, as well as the kit from Don. Hopefully no jumbo drill bits in my future... Thanks for the help.
