Default June 6th, 2020: Ironhead Rider's Gathering, PA/NJ (Spring 2020 G.B.B)

On June 6, 1944, US Soldiers heroically stormed the beach of Normandy, France and saved the free world.

76 years later, on June 6, 2020, Ironhead enthusiasts will (whatever the opposite of heroically is) storm the parking lot of Orlando's Cafe in Hopewell, NJ in search of eggs, bacon, and Sportster talk.

After too many long months of "typing the talk" to pass the time during winter, June 6th will be time to walk the walk and and get our Ironheads out of the garage and RIDE them!

The GBB Ironhead Gathering is the World's premier Ironhead Sportster-themed gathering, unmatched anywhere around the globe. It is an opportunity for like-minded enthusiasts to take a ride on their ironheads, meet for breakfast, ride their ironheads some more, have a picnic, and then ride home.

Here are the details on the Spring 2020 Gathering:

When: Saturday, June 6th, 2020
Where: Orlando's Cafe (the former Brass Ring Diner) - 310 Rt. 31 North, Hopewell, NJ 08525
Time: 10:00 A.M.

We will gather at Orlando's Cafe to eat breakfast. Then, many of us like to take a little ride together (nothing official - just some folks taking an informal, scenic ride), usually about 50 miles with a stop or two thrown in. All are welcome to tag along. Finally, we will end up back at Ironheadquarters (near Frenchtown, NJ) for a picnic and refreshments. All attendees are welcome at the picnic, but understand that this is a strict IRONHEAD-ONLY event. All Ironhead Sportster riders are welcome: Restorations, choppers, bobbers, cafe racers, rat bikes, big wheel baggers, OCC theme bikes, and stockers. It doesn't matter what style of ironhead you ride, or if it's shiny or rusty - just be a cool person who enjoys RIDING Ironheads!

*disclaimer* The GBB is an informal gathering of riders. Nothing is official except the date. If you want to come, then ride over and have a great time. If you can't make it, then don't...no excuses. No need to RSVP, just get in the garage and make sure your bike is ready for June 6th if you want to hang out.

Here is the info for our meeting point, Orlando's Cafe:

Here is a link to a short video of our last Ironhead Gathering in Fall of 2019:

You almost 3 months to get your bike ready, so get in the garage and start wrenching and polishing! Mark it in your calendar, get your wife (or husband's) permission, but whatever you do, don't miss the GBB!

Hope to see you on June 6th!

Have a good time,

Meanwhile in the real world,

""The majority of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United Kingdom, Canada and the US. However, troops from many other countries participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy: Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland""

So I'll be thankful on that day and will silently remember all of them fine fellows who fell in those dreadful times to allow me to be here today to give my opinion...

Can't see any of these applying to fine Sportsters riders???
