Blue Smoke! Nooooooooooo
1980 fresh rebuild, lots of mods, runs great (still) but I'm gettin oil (and of course blue smoke) out of my back cyl exhaust, droplets are spraying out of the back exhaust at the head. I have idled it and run about 15 miles. I am of course going to do a compression test. It fires right up and idles smoothly as ever so I'm thinking (hoping) non fatal failure. Thoughts? Normal checklist to run down? before I disclose all the mods done by a "guru" (major falling out).

Is the plug as oily as the exhaust?
Maybe a bad exhaust guide?

It's Black but not oil-soaked. I was kinda hopin' valve guide. They were supposed to have been replaced but that was right around the "falling out".

It's possible one of the rings got broke when installing the piston into the cylinder, it's not all that common, but it happens.

You're not even close to broken in yet. Run your bike 485 more miles, post back on condition. [ This applies to a normal rebuild].
That said, what modifications are we discussing here?

Wiseco 10:1 pistons, Cams, new oil pump all new bearings, Re-contoured heads, a bunch of added breathers and oil feeder lines (I know those might be the problem) 2 oil feeders just below ring line on each cylinder, 3 breather lines on each rocker cover. I just rerouted two "breather" lines to each other because they were dripping oil (just a few drops) this could be causing it as well. I have seen lines connecting rocker covers in the past so I thought it might be OK.
I'll post some pix tomorrow. I'm away from the bike today.

I looked in thru the sparkplug hole and don't see anything out of the ordinary. super clean still see all the honing marks. A long way to go for breaking in and seating everything... Could that be the thing? A little blue smoke I can understand, but the droplets?

I would check the pushrod adjustment and the ignition timing.
