Same here. 10.5:1 big bore, small fin, summer temps it peaks about 250. Ran across the country with nothing but 240-250F oil temps. Nothing wrong whatsoever.

40 mile ride at 70 mph, 80 degree temps. Oil stick said 200 degrees. 1994 1200, pretty much stock.

Ive always ran around 200 when warmed up in most weather conditions regardless of speed or duration. Now with 1250 kit got up to 220-240 on a ride, then swapped in a larger main jet now back down to 200 degrees warmed up. 2000 S model

Extended summer highway riding and the dipstick reads ~250°F... I have yet to verify its accuracy.

I lost an alternator so I swapped out the voltage regulator to a Cycle Electric model while I was replacing the stator. They CE voltage regulator doesn't slave the alternator to run at 100% capacity all the time and my oil temp was reduced about 15 degrees F. Oil temp was about 215-220, now it's generally around 200.

On a hot day 90* at Interstate speeds I was seeing oil temps pushing 250*, after installing a Jaggs oil cooler, under the same conditions I now see maybe 220*.
