Well, I pulled the VOES out to check it and the diaphragm doesn't seem to work.
It will switch by screwing the plug in and out but wont activate with vacuum.
The ignition has a VOES active light on it and I've never seen it on. With the VOES switched, it lights so it does work.
Dealer doesn't have one (1-3 weeks) and Indy would have to order, too.
Gonna have to see what Ronnie can do.

Well, VOES is in and works properly. Got a couple rides in and to be honest, I can't really tell a difference.

On to today: I put her into a ditch going around a curve.
Went into a left hand curve a little too hot on a chip and tar road, got near the edge of the road where all the little stone chips gather and slid off the road.
I kept her up for a good hundred feet in the grass until the rear tire slid sideways further into the shallow ditch and put me sideways sliding to the right. Then the shifter and foot peg caught and flipped it over on the right where it stopped facing back up towards the road.

Damage list: handlebars bent, shifter shaft sheared off, rear fender bent a little, license plate mount bent, clutch cable bent at the case, right blinker loose, rear muffler loose.

Personal damage assessment: At some point my knee contacted the air cleaner, the face shield got pulled off (unbroken, oddly enough) and sun visor got jammed up into the helmet. I can't see anywhere on the lid it hit, nor on the shield. Neck and lower back ache a bit and right knee hurts (hit the lower bone and not the cap).

All in all not terrible, just need the shift shaft and clutch cable to get mobile again. Got a standard set of risers and bars on it already, pulled checked and tightened the muffler and checked for any other damage. Mostly minor scratches - dirt and grass are somewhat soft. And I did miss the telephone pole. At that point I wasn't moving very fast but it would have added a LOT of suck.

And I got hit for failure to control.
Going to talk to the insurance company tomorrow to see how that will affect my rates. If they go up then I guess I'll put in a claim. The rear fender alone is way more than the deductible.

Parts keep trickling in but the biggie is the shift shaft from HD.
Going to take the sissy bar mounts to work to see if I can straighten them on the hydraulic press without cracking the chrome.
Did a little work on the rear fender to get the wrinkle out.
Local shop has a new factory one primered for $250 with another $150 to paint.
Still haven't gotten to the insurance co. yet.

Shifter finally came in and got things back together.
Seems to track straight so frame etc are OK.
Had to take the left front motor mount in for a little hydraulic press adjustment.
The highway peg was what caught on the ground and caused the bike to spin and flip over.

Both sissy bar mounts are twisted so I don't think they can be straightened. I may try just for the giggles.

I got a standard size clutch cable and tried to route it up through the tree but gave up and just ran it up the side like the last one.

The insurance clerk seemed to be pretty clueless. I guess I have to call corporate to get any answers.

No work until Tuesday night so I'll see how many miles I can get until then.
Can't ask for better riding weather right now.
