good luck finding W cams from a pre-2000. Those are about as rare as hens teeth.

that is correct and 1999 and under S models are quite rare bikes.

If I remember the best quick bang of the buc bolt on is gettin buell heads. and 98 99 harley DID dual plug the sporty 1200s... definately the makings of a rice killer

I got 87 HP with my N4s & stage 1 head work on Buell Lightning heads

N4s will work even without headwork but you will get more power if you do.

What size cams should I be looking to get with the stock heads? Should I go with different pistons if I go with new cams? I'm quite a novice so I don know if I would have toget the heads machined if I get new heads as well.

The N4 cams would be a good choice. They are a bolt in cam set.

the way I understand it, you will get the best results by matching all the engine components to the cams. Figure out what cams would be the best for your needs & go from there. The N4s were a good cam but I don't think they are a 100HP cam
|
