Default Need Help Installing Mid-USA Distributor

Anyone have any experience with these distributors? I have one I'm putting in a 1968 XLCH and I'm not sure how to install it since there's no Cam Timing Mark on the breaker Cam.
Any suggestions? Sorry I don't know how to post pictures on here.
Thank you.

So I believe the procedure is typical for your new distributor vs the stock unit or mag. Here is a quick overview ps the timing mark on the lobe is not a deal breaker for you. FSM will be helpful.
Set point gap on both lobes.
Remove spark plugs and rotate engine until front cylinder is on compression stroke and you see the timing mark in the center of the hole.
Now you notice the breaker spiral gear will turn the lobes when you install into the case.
You want the small lobe (front cylinder) close to lifting the fiber arm and opening the points. Close is all you want at this point.
Once the unit is fully down turn the lobe clockwise to full advance and now turn the unit body to have the point fiber arm just open the points on the small lobe.
Lock down unit and rotate the engine a few times.
Recheck point gap both lobes and watch for proper operation and also lube the lobes.
Timing plug back in and spark plugs installed wires on.
Make sure all screws are tight and try to start.

Thank you sungod. That's exactly what I did so I appreciate your very detailed reply. Exactly what I needed.
One question. When you say "small lobe" you're referring to the lobe that is more narrow and "pointy"
Correct?
Thank you!
Steve

Yes the small lobe(narrow pointy) is the front cylinder.
